Morning Anchor / Reporter

An aggressive news station in a small Southeastern market is looking for a weekday morning news anchor.

The position is expected to open by early 2025.

The ideal candidate will have a solid journalism background and a personality that will make viewers want to start their day by watching them. This person will also be a leader in the newsroom and the community.  Candidate must have the ability to deliver the news from the anchor desk, live in the field and conduct live interviews. Writing stories for our website and communicating through social media is a must.

Duties include anchoring daily live newscasts, reporting as needed and representing the company at community events throughout the coverage area.

We are located just a few hours from the beach and many larger cities.

At least one year on the anchor desk is preferred. College degree in broadcasting, journalism and/or communications required.
