SUMMARY
Forum Communications Company is seeking a General Manager for our South Dakota Broadcast operations – KNBN-TV (NBC) in Rapid City and KSFL-TV (ind) in Sioux Falls. The General Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Broadcast and will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the stations in highly competitive markets.&nbsp;
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Direct and manage the overall operations of the stations to drive results including established goals and objectives in sales, ratings, audience, profit and operating income.</li>
<li>Collaborate with appropriate executives to oversee the 24/7 broadcast and technical&nbsp;requirements of the stations.</li>
<li>Drive business and partnership development efforts to further group goals.</li>
<li>Identify and implement more efficient approaches to operations and processes throughout the stations.</li>
<li>Represent the stations in the communities to develop and maintain strong community relationships.</li>
<li>Seek out opportunities to contribute to the local markets for the betterment of the communities.</li>
<li>Recruit, develop, and retain a strong leadership team providing guidance and coaching to maximize team performance.</li>
<li>Execute corporate policies and objectives while maintaining the highest level of ethics and industry standards.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain an innovative and highly collaborative culture atmosphere that promotes idea generation, open communication and respect for team members.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Ideal candidate will have experience as a General Manager or in a top leadership position in broadcasting, preferably with a background in broadcast sales, news, or marketing.</li>

General Manager

An aggressive news station in a small Southeastern market is looking for a weekday morning news anchor.
The position is expected to open by early 2025.
The ideal candidate will have a solid journalism background and a personality that will make viewers want to start their day by watching them. This person will also be a leader in the newsroom and the community.&nbsp; Candidate must have the ability to deliver the news from the anchor desk, live in the field and conduct live interviews. Writing stories for our website and communicating through social media is a must.
Duties include anchoring daily live newscasts, reporting as needed and representing the company at community events throughout the coverage area.
We are located just a few hours from the beach and many larger cities.
At least one year on the anchor desk is preferred. College degree in broadcasting, journalism and/or communications required.&nbsp;
